Job description

As the Technical Sales Specialist you will be responsible for successfully promoting and value selling Bosch Rexroth Hgglunds Drive technologies products and services in new and aftermarket applications within a defined territory. By developing strong internal and external customer relationships that result in sales growth worldclass customer service increasing market share and sustained profitability you will play a key part in enabling the companys long term growth of Hgglunds Drive Products. Duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Establishing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Hgglunds Drive components technical / product / specialty areas and service offerings
  • Seeking and analyzing local market intelligence and information about potential and existing customers to develop and deliver sales and profit targets and objectives
  • Continuous development and understanding of the companys customers competitors and business environment
  • Utilizing valueselling techniques to understand our customers businesses and offer solutions that both enhance and improve our customers offering ensuring Bosch Rexroth is a preferred business partner
  • Effectively selling company products and services through planned and regular customer contact and field visits
  • Taking responsibility for all customer enquiries promptly and converting these opportunities into sales and sustainable business
  • Proposing technical system solutions to customers as required
  • Negotiating contracts and reviewing commercial terms and conditions in line with agreed discount and margin rules
  • Preparing detailed quotations and specifications ensuring customer requirements are fulfilled and accurate information is available for system design / drawings projects or order processing
  • Ensuring timely documenting of relevant data by organizing and maintaining customer interaction within the companies CRM system (e.g. customer contact details company information visit reporting opportunity management etc.)
  • Producing and developing monthly reports to support department controls and performance improvements in line with company standards and reporting requirements (e.g. sales activity reports competitor analysis)
  • Working at all levels with existing and prospective customers to understand their business and identify their future business plans ensuring Bosch Rexroth (Hgglunds) is the best possible partner to support their future needs

This is a remote position located in Western Canada.  The ideal candidate should live in close proximity to a major city airport (Edmonton Calgary Vancouver)

Qualifications : Education

  • Mechanical Engineer / Technologist or graduate of a Certified Fluid Power / Robotics program (or equivalent).
  • Business degree is an asset but not required.
  • Experience

  • 5 years of sales / marketing experience in promoting Hydraulic Drive Systems products to industrial accounts
  • Inventory planning experience in industrial products
  • Strong technical background and aptitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills including project management
  • Certified Sales Professional is an asset
  • Strong effective communication and listening skills
  • High sense of urgency and customer focus
  • Effective at creating vision and goal setting selfstarter and driver
  • Empathic to the needs of others
  • Ability to travel domestically and some internationally as required to customer sites for meetings startups commissioning technical reviews etc.
