The Warehouse Associate participates in many key functions of the back end of the warehouse. They play a vital role in ensuring unloading of delivery trucks in the shipping bays are completed in a safe and timely manner. Warehouse Associates also are responsible for ‘laying out' the merchandise that has been catalogued for future auctions. Using a tablet, you place merchandise in designated areas of the warehouse ensuring inventory placement is correct and is recorded accurately. Keeping racks organized and tidy is important in this role. The daily warehouse clean-up and general tidy procedures at the end of the business day is also the expectation for this team.

What does a Warehouse Associate do?

  • Working in the docking bays to receive multiple daily shipments
  • Using pallet jack to remove skids from truck bed
  • Placing catalogued items in warehouse racking systems
  • Using an iPad to successfully record placement of items
  • Helping to maintain organization of the warehouse
  • Hours of work : Mon to Fri 0830-1745 hrs, permanent full-time
  • We are located on a bus route
  • What you will need to succeed :

  • Consistent attendance, reliability and committed work ethic
  • Ability to meet daily targets
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read and speak English well
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability for full days on a permanent full-time basis
  • We typically do not work weekends but on occasion, a Saturday shift might occur
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. comfortably
  • Walking for this role is a BFOR (Bona Fide Occupational Requirement) so applicants must be comfortable on their feet and able to walk / stand all day
  • Steel-toed work boots / shoes are mandator y
  • This role starts at $17.55 per hour. After three months of continuous employment, your hourly rate will increase to $19.00 per hour and you will be eligible to enrol with our Group Benefit plan- we offer Single of Family coverage with Dental and Vision care included. We also offer enrolment with our GRSP (Group Retirement Savings Plan) for those who are interested.
