Accountant (remote)

We are offering contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Collingwood, Ontario. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including managing large datasets, understanding and complying with accounting principles, and reconciling bank statements. This role is centered within the financial services industry and will require adept use of accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning tools.

Responsibilities :

• Efficient utilization of Excel for data analysis and reporting, leveraging advanced functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Ensuring data accuracy and integrity while handling large datasets.
• Upholding a strong understanding of accounting principles and guaranteeing adherence in all accounting tasks.
• Detecting and examining variances in financial data, bringing discrepancies to the team's attention for further scrutiny.
• Conducting bank statement reconciliations to guarantee precise financial reporting.
• Executing purchase order reconciliations to verify accuracy in purchasing and inventory records.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Skilled in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Aptitude for Auditing
• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account
• Proficiency in Yardi software
