Duties
- Responsible for processing inpatient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Responsible for registering new and re-registering patients for outpatient services.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate data for statistical reporting purposes.
- Tracking bed usage and waiting lists.
- Verify and validate patient’s insurance and ascertain if a patient has additional insurance coverage.
- Prepare Admission and Discharge Forms for the clinical record.
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient / client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
- Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Anti-Racism, Harassment & Discrimination Free Workplace policy.
- Other Clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.Post secondary training / experience in office administration preferred.Proficiency in latest version of Word, Excel, Microsoft Office.Typing skills 45 net words per minute minimum.Strong attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to be discreet and uphold the strongest measure of confidentiality.Proficiency with ADT / OPR Patient Registration Systems.Bilingual (French / English) is mandatory.English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. French level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension and oral expression.Salary Range : 26.04 to 28.54 per hour
