Electrical Engineer

Our client is a Western Canadian firm, with a 50+ year history in the delivery of integrated building engineering services to the public sector, and land development industry. They have an industry leading reputation in the M+E sector, along with established clientele with organizations such as Public Works Canada, residential - commercial development and tenant improvement. The role would be based out of the Greater Vancouver area and would be a hybrid of office (2 days) and work from home.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, British Columbia, this position would work collaboratively with Project Management and local engineering staff as Design Lead and Client Manager on various projects.

Specific Responsibilities Include :

• Mentorship of EIT staff, report review, technical review.
• Management and review of cost opinions, change orders, cost proposals.
• Holistic thinking, understanding of interdisciplinary design conflicts, and risk management of contracts.
• Report review and writing.
• Technical expertise with control systems, grounding, heat tracing, lighting systems, low voltage, life safety systems, and commissioning.
• Have the ability to apply for a Federal security clearance in order to work on institutional projects as required.
