An industry-leading hospitality brand is seeking a Franchise Development Director to oversee expansion efforts across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba . This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of a well-established and growing franchise network. The successful candidate will have the chance to leverage their expertise in business development, hospitality, and franchising to drive new opportunities and foster long-term partnerships. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting new franchisees and properties in the assigned territory.
This position is home-office based, and candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Description
- Identify and pursue new franchise opportunities in alignment with the company’s strategic growth plan.
- Implement targeted acquisition strategies to secure franchise partners in key markets.
- Consult with prospective franchisees on the benefits and process of joining the franchise network.
- Prepare proposals for new-builds, conversions, relicenses, and brand repositionings for executive review.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing franchisees.
- Act as a key brand ambassador, communicating company values, business strategies, and ethical standards.
- Provide feedback and market intelligence to leadership, contributing to overall development strategy.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in hospitality, business brokerage, franchising, or related fields.Strong understanding of real estate dynamics within the assigned territory.Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with business owners and key stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both in person and through virtual platforms.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.Ability to travel as required, with a valid driver’s license and passport .Candidates with experience in hotel sales, franchise development in other sectors (such as QSR), or selling FF&E into the hospitality industry are strongly encouraged to apply.Corporate Culture
