The Department of Diagnostic Imaging at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, a major pediatric referral centre, invites applications from interested, qualified Radiologists for a full-time permanent faculty position in Pediatric Radiology, in the division of General Pediatric Radiology.

The anticipated start date is May 1, 2025.

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto, is a world-renowned leader in health care, research, and teaching.

newsweek.com / worlds-best-specialized-hospitals-2022 / pediatrics ). SickKids is committed to providing excellence in care with a highly qualified, interdisciplinary, hospital-based medical staff.

The Hospital has approximately 340 beds and performs approximately 140,000 imaging studies per year.

The ideal candidate must have an M.D. or equivalent, be board-certified in radiology and should have fellowship and clinical experience from a reputed institution in pediatric radiology.

Clinical experience in all aspects of general pediatric radiology, including conventional radiographs, fluoroscopic procedures, ultrasound, CT and body magnetic resonance imaging is a must.

A strong interest in musculoskeletal imaging would be an asset. We are looking for candidates who have shown excellence in modern pediatric imaging.

Focused creative professional activity and a strong academic acumen in research and education will be considered favorably.

Proficiency in English is required and should be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).

The General Pediatric Radiology Division works collaboratively and closely with other divisions within the department (Neuroradiology, Interventional Radiology / IGT and Nuclear Medicine) and with other disciplines of pediatric medicine and surgery.

The division also has dedicated cardiac and musculoskeletal radiologists. The Department has a strong educational program with approximately 15 dedicated Pediatric Fellows per year in various divisions and 4 to 6 University of Toronto Radiology Residents rotating through the department.

Faculty appointment at the University of Toronto and salary will be made commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

The candidate should be eligible for an academic position at the University of Toronto, preferably at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
