Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and schedules, including posting journal entries and reconciliations
- Monthly review, reconciliation and processing of corporate credit cards
- Assist with the preparation and execution of internal and external audits
- Accounts payable processing and analysis
- Participation in process improvement initiatives
- Ad hoc financial reporting and documentation
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in the accounting field (university degree or community college diploma with a concentration in accounting, or equivalent)Ability to work well under pressure of time constraintsCo-op or work term experience in the accounting field would be an assetStrong organizational skillsAnalytical mind and a critical thinkerMeticulous attention to detail and accuracyProficient with Excel and other Microsoft Office programsAdaptable and flexible team playerThe Junior Accountant position is eligible to participate in our CPA program which is pre-approved by CPA Atlantic.
