EY Consulting Services is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently seeking an SAP Production Planning - Manager to join our team to grow the SAP Plan to Manufacture capability within the EY Canada SAP Practice, whilst taking on a lead role in current engagements with local and international clients.

Our Performance Improvement team is focused on helping clients improve operational efficiency and security, while also reducing costs and managing risk.

We help clients by delivering assessment, transformation, and process efficiency solutions in specialty areas like finance, supply chain, IT Consulting, customer, people and organization change, strategic direction, and program management.

To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing onthe broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies.

Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others.

Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy / Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment / Media, Oil / Gas and Consumer Goods / Retail.

Your key responsibilities

PP Team Lead : Participate in large scale SAP client engagements, either as an Team Lead or as Senior Team Member, providing deep expertise in SAP PP and its integration to the other SAP components, and peripheral systems, such as Manufacturing Execution Systems interfaces.

Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframe and on budget.

Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery.

Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent verbal, written communication skills and should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis.

This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels.

As a Manager - SAP Production Planning, you will also help us identify opportunities with both new and existing clients, where EY can bring value to bear through the adoption of these solutions.

These are shared with all EY market-facing organizations to provide consistency and common platforms with which to go to market.

A willingness to travel to meet client needs is required.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Having functional proficiency in SAP Production Planning

  • Have strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills.

  • Have the ability to lead a team of consulting and client professionals on multiple projects.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Functional proficiency with at least 5+ full lifecycle SAP implementations and 8+ years of industry and / or consulting experience in SAP.
  • At least 6+ years of SAP experience implementing SAP Production Planning (PP), understand client requirements, provide solutions, functional specifications and configure the system accordingly.
  • Responsible for planning and executing SAP Implementation / Development / Optimization regarding SAP - Production Planning and comfortable with leading functional teams within his / her area of expertise.
  • Detailed knowledge of the SAP Production Planning master data (BOM, work center, routing / recipe etc.), production order management, goods movement against production orders, etc.
  • Experience with Manufacturing industry clients, preferably in the Forestry business.
  • Ability to configure SAP PP and deliver work products / packages conforming to the client's standards & requirements.
  • Experience in integration of PP with other areas such as product costing, purchasing, inventory and batch management etc.
  • Knowledge of integration with EWM is a plus.
  • Experience in S4 PPDS module and IBP would be great.
  • Experienced in creating proposals and RFP responses for clients.

Ideally, you'll also have

Prior consulting experience and a demonstrated history of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Fortune 500 companies.
