Junior Technical Artist / 3D Modeller

We are seeking a creative and passionate Junior Technical Artist / 3D Modeller to join our growing team.

As the Junior Technical Artist / 3D Modeller, you will play a crucial role in our XR Development Team, working closely with our Creative Lead on training and skills development projects. Position Duties and Responsibilities :

Asset Creation and Management :

  • Develops and optimizes assets for real-time use in Unity, including models, textures, and shaders.
  • Collaborates with artists and developers to ensure assets meet technical requirements and align with educational goals.

    • Technical Implementation :

  • Implements and refines assets within Unity to ensure they perform well across various platforms.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining art pipelines specific to educational content, to improve workflows through automation and tool development.

    • Lighting

  • Creates lighting in Unity and ensures they are optimized.
  • Sets up all light systems in engine and bakes the lights as to have a natural look to the projects.

    • Performance Optimization :

  • Monitors and optimizes the performance of scenes and assets to meet educational objectives and technical constraints.
  • Troubleshoots and solves technical issues related to art asset creation and integration within Unity.

    • Collaboration and Support :

  • Works under the guidance of the Creative Lead, to support the technical aspects of design implementation in training modules.
  • Participates actively in team meetings and provides technical insights to improve educational project outcomes.

    • Quality Assurance and Feedback :

  • Conducts regular tests of assets and environments to ensure they function effectively within the educational context.
  • Provides and implements feedback to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the XR training experiences.

    • Key Qualifications :

  • An updated portfolio of your creative work.
  • Strong understanding of Unity and its artistic integration tools.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and shading, particularly within Unity.
  • Ability to work with any 3D software (i.e., Maya, 3DS, Blender, etc.), Substance 3D Suite (i.e., Painter) and photoshop.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work closely with both creative and educational development teams.
  • Passion for games and a keen interest in the latest industry trends and technologies, with a focus on educational applications.
