About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of the business. You will be key in maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and profit / loss statements.
  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and sales, to streamline financial processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience : 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry.
  • Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Software Proficiency : QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software experience required. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail : Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple transactions and accounts.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards : Understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial regulations in food manufacturing / distribution is a plus.
  • Communication Skills : Ability to work with internal teams and external vendors professionally.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset : Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
