Reporting to the Controller, this role will be working alongside 2 other Senior Accountants and an overall team of 10 in accounting and finance and be varied in supporting the overall full cycle close process as well as corporate consolidation.

This opportunity :
We are looking for a detailed oriented professional to join Concert’s Corporate Accounting team as Senior Corporate Accountant.
The successful candidate provides accounting expertise with a primary emphasis on the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting.
The role requires someone who is adept at working with people in many departments to provide an accurate picture of the company’s financial performance that will be relied upon by management, shareholders and external users.
This position is located Downtown, Vancouver and will report to the Controller, Corporate Accountant.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the preparation of Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Financial Statements, Consolidation working papers and Tax working papers.
- Preparation of month end journal entries.
- Effectively reviews and analyses financial statements.
- Liaises with department heads and managers.
- Assist with drafting of accounting memos and analysis.
- Assist with the compilation of working papers for corporate tax returns, review GST returns and ensure timely filings.
- Assist with preparation and filing of statutory returns for multiple companies.
- Assist in the development of the annual business plan and corporate budgeting.
- Support the Corporate Accounting team in daily accounting activities and special projects.
- Liaises with auditors for corporate and co-ownership financial statement audits.
Qualifications- Required Knowledge & Skills
Relevant University Degree in Business / Accounting / Commerce plus 3-6 years minimum of full cycle accounting experience.
CPA Designation considered an asset.
- Experience with excel and MS Suite is required.
- A strong understanding of operational accounting and accounting standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships with cross functional teams.
- Experience in real estate and RealPac is an asset.
- Experience in successfully partnering with internal and external clients.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow up and follow through.
- Ability to work efficiently as a part of a team and independently.
- Familiarity with Yardi Voyager is an asset.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines and be adaptable.
- Tax experience an asset.
- Ability to work in a complex corporate environment.
- Experience in public practice is an asset.

Vancouver based in a hybrid work model.
How Much :
Competitive compensation will be offered with an ideal range of $76,000-113,000 depending on years of experience plus discretionary bonus, RRSP, 3 weeks’ vacation and other great perks such as transit and fitness reimbursement programs at 50% and pension eligibility after 1 year!
