Directorof Operations (Consumer Goods, On-Site)
Our client, a rapidly growing Consumer Goods Company is looking to hire a Director of Operations to join their team on aPermanent, Full-Time basis.
This will be an On-Site role , with the company’s manufacturingand warehousing facilities located in Mississauga, ON .
Reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain, theDirector of Operations will be responsible for managing the operations of allproduction and warehouse areas for Canada and the USA.
Key responsibilities will include : maintaining volume, cost and quality standards; establishing production sequencesand work schedules to maximize productivity;
conducting production processanalysis to make process improvements.
Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize and control production in anorganization to ensure that goods are produced and fulfilled efficiently, ontime, within budget and to standard.
- Implement full scale manufacturing in Canadaand the USA.
- Plan, implement and control the productionschedule
- Determine the human resources required
- Determine and manage the material resourcesrequired to meet production targets
- Make decisions about equipment use,maintenance, modification and procurement
- Document and implement Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs) for Manufacturing and Operations
- Ensure implementation and adherence to healthand safety procedures (OH&S)
- Implement and enforce Quality Control andtracking programs to meet quality objectives
- Monitor and review the performance of staffand organize necessary interventions for improvement
- Estimate production costs, and set productionbudgets
- Implement cost control programs
- Ensure efficient collaboration andco-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distributionand management
- Implement Manufacturing in the USA and Canada
Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relatedfield
- 15 + years roles in Manufacturing andOperations roles
- Additional logistics, and distribution centerexperience ideal
- Experience with Six Sigma or LeanManufacturing is preferable
