About The Role
We’re looking for a E & O Claims Facilitator, Risk and Compliance Management to join our growing team and work out of one of our offices in Alberta, Ontario, or the Atlantic region on a FT permanent basis .
As a E & O Claims Facilitator , you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge of insurance policies and regulations to make fair and accurate Broker Error and Omissions (E&O) claim settlement decisions. You will provide consultation and independent challenge to the Manager of Risk and Compliance to ensure operational risks and compliance risks are identified and sufficiently mitigated through a prudent and methodological approach.

What the Role Entails :
Analyze and interpret insurance policy wordings, to assess fair and equitable situational assessments / opinionsEnsure all tasks are clearly documented, meeting any / all legislative requirementsConducts timely and impartial investigations of potential E&O incidents, making sound recommendationsCommunicate in a timely and respectful manner with a multitude of both internal and external stakeholdersAnalyzes collected data to bring consistent practices across the organization and identifies areas that need further risk mitigationEscalates risk related issues to the Corporate Risk Manager and participates in preparation of risk reporting by capturing and aggregating results from the key risk processes to be presented the Business UnitsProvide guidance to the Business in the identification, assessment, management and resolution of risk challenges and supports Distribution and risk control business strategies by promoting risk control “value added” products and services to clients and brokersMaintains current and detailed knowledge of operational risk issues including awareness of domestic legislation, regulations, insurance industry trends and initiatives, best practices, underwriting guidelines and standards, policy wordings, and implementation of these practices.Participate in special projects as assignedPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
