Key Responsibilities :
The key responsibilities of a Welder include, but are not limited to :
- Perform welding operations using FCAW / MIG welding process.
- Recognize and read welding symbols for welding.
- Ability to fully operate, maintain and understand the welding machines as an operator.
- Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e., Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
- Apply safe methods of hoisting and rigging to safely move steel within the fabrication plant.
- Perform work safely and follow established work procedures.
- Perform General Tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
- Supports the Quality and Safety Programs.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Welder are :
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience welding mild structural steel,
- CWB qualified is an asset
