Job description

The CompanyGlobe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in Canada are working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their Magnesium-dolomite Project.The RoleThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) will lead a team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective, right from start-up to commercial production and beyond. The ideal candidate has extensive experience within the industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role as this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of our industry. The COO will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view.The ResponsibilitiesAnalyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement.Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO.Oversee operations, HR, and accounting, and partner with CEO in product sales management so that sufficient investment capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets.Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively and efficiently to ensure that the company achieves targets for growth and profitability.Monitor performance with tracking software and take corrective measures when necessary and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.The RequirementsLiving in a remote but accessible region along Quebec’s North Shore, fully accessible via a paved provincial highway and regional airport from Quebec City.Twenty (20) or more years of experience in mining and operations, including executive leadership roles.Excellent leadership skills, with unwavering resolve and personal integrity.Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.Preferred skills and qualifications.Mining or Metallurgical Engineer.Experience in operational start-ups.Working with local First-Nations Communities and local non-First-Nations municipalities.French speaking.Benefits packageCompetitive salary Medical and health benefitsBonusesHousing and living expensesCompany vehicle
