The Trillium Lakelands District School Board invites applications for aPERMANENT PART-TIME LIBRARY CLERKAtGlen Orchard Public School near Port Carling This permanent, part-time position is effective starting on Monday August 26, 2024.
- This position will work with the School Administration to ensure the smooth operation of our school Library. Duties : Prepare the library for the start / end of the school year;
- Ensuring library resources are in order and in good condition; Setting up patrons for library circulation; Managing library circulation;
Adding, editing and deleting library resources; Coordinating circulation schedules; Preparing and distributing library reports (over dues, etc.
Managing the inventory process when required. Provide secretarial and clerical support in the office when required. Other related secretarial duties as assigned.
- Qualifications Required : Secondary School Graduation Diploma; Related experience over six months, up to including one (1) year;
- Demonstrated computer knowledge and practical experience on multi-screen database systems, and using Word, Excel and Google Suite;
Personal qualities of maturity, tact and discretion; Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision; Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with staff members, parents, students and the general public both in person and on the phone is absolutely essential.
Hours of Work : 7 hours per week, Monday to Friday, schedule to be confirmedHourly Rate : $24.00 to start to max $25.91, eff Sept 1 / 24 $25.
