This Business Consultant will work primarily as a meeting facilitator.
The work of the Facilitator will include the following :
- An initial meeting with Service and Red Tape Reduction and the Chair of a Public Advisory Panel (the Panel) to discuss the role, expectations, and facilitation approach including an opportunity to ask questions about the Panel scope of work.
- Participation in regular planning meetings to review objectives, timelines, logistics, communications, etc.
- Oversee coordination and onboarding of presenters and panellists, including invitations to identified speakers, RSVPs, biographies, presentation materials, etc.
- Confirm the meeting agenda with the Panel and familiarize them with the supporting documents.
During the Panel Meeting Phase :
Facilitate the Panel in-person, virtually, and / or hybrid. It is expected that the facilitator be present for all meetings.Provide a review of the agenda and update agenda items as necessary while in the meeting.Communicate clearly and effectively, ensure the meeting remains on schedule, ensure all participants have time to speak on topics, and redirect conversations as needed.Facilitate the engagement of meeting discussions by requesting further elaboration, inviting participants to provide insight and feedback, and assisting in question periods.Effectively work to prevent any potential disputes.Close the meeting with a review of meeting action items including important dates.Following the Panel Meeting Phase :
Provide a debrief with the SARTR staff to review the meetings, identify issues, action items, and next steps for future meetings.Work with the writer to ensure all topics discussed in meetings are identified and captured in the written recommendations to the Minister.Skills Required :
Experience conducting, facilitating, and interpreting impact and risk assessments (5 years).Experience in a leadership and / or facilitation role (5 years).Experience in the development of business cases for a wide variety of initiatives (5 years).Experience with the development of communications plans (5 years).J-18808-Ljbffr
