    Our client, a leading Mechanical Consulting Engineering firm with offices across Western Canada, is seeking a Healthcare Sector Lead . This Partner-level opportunity reports to the Board of Directors and offers immense growth potential, with a chance to lead the firm’s healthcare sector, expand regionally, and eventually establish a national presence.

    • The Ideal Candidate

      You have a proven track record in the Healthcare Sector , leading hospital projects from concept to completion. You’ve built strong reputations with health authorities, contractors, and architects , and are well-versed in the P3 market and direct system upgrades . With years of leadership experience, you’ve mentored teams and managed the hiring, training, and development of staff. You are ready to take full P&L responsibility and bring fresh energy to the team.

      Role Overview

      As the Mechanical Healthcare Lead , you will collaborate with healthcare providers, architects, and construction teams to design, develop, and implement mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, medical gas systems) for healthcare facilities. You'll ensure these systems comply with regulatory standards and deliver high-quality patient environments.

      Key Responsibilities :

    • Lead the design and specification of mechanical systems for healthcare facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and building codes (ASHRAE, NFPA).
    • Manage project timelines and budgets, delivering mechanical solutions on time and within budget.
    • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of systems to ensure performance.
    • Incorporate sustainable, energy-efficient solutions in designs.
    • Qualifications :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
    • 10+ years in consulting engineering (building services).
    • 5+ years delivering healthcare projects.
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations (ASHRAE 170, NFPA 99).

      Requirements

      Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    • Registered and in good standing with a relevant professional body (for example P. Eng.).
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on managing teams, business development, and client relationship management.
