Our client is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Calgary. This role demands a dynamic professional who excels in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while identifying opportunities to optimize financial performance. This is a contract role for an undefined term, but expect approximately 15-18 months.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Prepare and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASPE
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all entries and reconciliations are completed.
- Provide financial insights to support Executive Management team.
- Prepare annual working paper file for year-end
- Monitor and manage cash flow
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Lead annual budgeting processes and provide ongoing financial forecasts.
- Mentor and supervise, fostering their professional growth.
- Develop, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
