Test Engineer

LOCATION :  Our office is in Vancouver, BC.  While we would prefer to have this position located in one of these areas, we are open to a remote candidate.  If located in Vancouver, you will be required to work in the office 3-5 days per week.  A job at RAZR is like no other. They allow us to thrive.  The RAZR Core Values You Live  Be Intentional   You take action and pursue the ultimate best outcome for RAZR and our clients  You dig in and understand the details of how the business works  You run towards and you don’t run away  You understand that “whatever it takes” is just that   You have a plan, and you execute it even when you don’t feel like it  Embrace the Attitude of How   You understand that problems are simply opportunities to solve them  You view commitments as promises to be kept...regardless  You can’t stand not knowing, you have an unquenchable thirst to understand why  You are an active participant, never a spectator  You are focused on outcomes and not the time it takes to achieve them     Enjoy the Ride  You are grateful for both life’s challenges and opportunities  You passionately pursue excellence in everything you do  You laugh often and don’t take yourself too seriously  You love change and living in the gray is energizing to you  You can't wait to get out of bed in the morning & get on with your day     Overview  We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled QA Engineer to join our Team.  You will be responsible for developing and executing tests on our SaaS platform.  This role will be working closely with the Product and Development teams to review and refine requirements and acceptance criteria throughout the planning process to improve development cycle time and produce high quality features.          What You Love To Do  Ensure high quality of software releases   Design and execute effective test plans that include manual testing and automation testing   Identify test scenarios (manual and automated), test cases, and test data to ensure maximum test coverage for features new and existing  Refine requirements and acceptance criteria with the Product team      Required Skills   Successful track record designing and executing effective test plans   Ability to log comprehensive defects / bugs for Product / Development to understand   Skilled at maintaining existing test suites  Experience leveraging existing automation tests as part of overall testing strategy  Prior experience analyzing business user needs and working with cross functional teams to refine requirements and create test scenarios   Experience API Testing  Collaborative team player and excellent communication skills     Additional Skills  Understanding of the current standards for accessibility i.e. (WCAG, AODA, etc.) and experience with a11y testing is a bonus  Experience with Performance and Load testing (BlazeMeter, JMeter, Load Runner, Neo Load etc.) is a bonus  Experience in automated test creation using Playwright or Cypress with Typescript / JavaScript is a bonus  Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience  Minimum 3+ years working experience   Must have experience in Manual Feature testing and regression testing   Ability to work independently with minimum supervision  Extensive experience in refining requirements and acceptance criteria with various team members   Knowledge of QA software tools for test plan and defect management like TestRail and Jira  Any experience with AWS, Kafka, and Docker is a bonus     About Us  RAZR is a fast-growing marketing technology company headquartered in the Twin Cities, and we count some of the world’s most recognized brands among our clients.
