Position Summary :

The Assembler is responsible for ensuring all assigned jobs are completed in compliance with drawings, proofs, production flow charts, procedures, and process control plans. This role requires maintaining high product quality, accurate time tracking, and adherence to company policies. The Assembler contributes to the department's productivity and supports overall operational goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assemble products in accordance with specifications outlined in drawings, proofs, production flow charts, procedures, and process control plans.
  • Accurately record all work time and activities in ShopTrak for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Follow all company policies, practices, and procedures relevant to the department or organization.
  • Ensure the quality of all assembled products meets or exceeds company standards.
  • Perform regular quality checks and promptly report any discrepancies to the Supervisor or Lead Hand.
  • Work at a high level of productivity to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Execute daily schedules and job assignments as directed by the Supervisor, Lead Hand, or Planner.
  • Identify and report any process or job-related issues to the Supervisor or Lead Hand for resolution.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned to support departmental operations.

What You Bring to Ampco :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 3+ years previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and quality assembly.
  • Ability to follow instructions, schedules, and procedures effectively.
  • Proficient in time management to meet productivity goals.
  • Basic math skills to measure, calculate, and verify specifications.
  • Familiarity with production software such as ShopTrak (an asset).
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate and report issues.

  • Pay Range : The typical hiring range for this position is from $19.00 - $24.75 hourly; the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
