The Team
Nanometrics is looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Operations, the candidate will actively manage all aspects of the global supply chain, from order entry to order fulfillment .
We are looking for someone with a strong business acumen who will provide leadership to ensure materials are purchased, warehoused and packed in a lean manufacturing environment ensuring lowest cost and highest quality.
The position requires a practical, hands-on professional who can work with business leaders across the organization. We are looking for a talented individual who is self-driven, motivated, and demonstrates a desire to improve and modernize practices.
The Role
Procurement :
Ensure Revenue Targets are being met - identifying and proactively communicating risks and opportunities.
Directs the purchasing of all materials and services to support the Business.
Monitoring of KPIs - Delivery, Costs and Quality performance of Suppliers / Partners
Ensures stability in the supply chain through sourcing and managing suppliers and partners proactively.
Inventory :
Managing and optimizing inventory at all warehouses off site and on-site ensuring accuracy and effectiveness through your continuous improvement program.
Ensuring Cost accuracy
Increase Inventory Turns
Logistics :
Implements Logistics Strategies to support our Global Customer / Supplier Base
Develop our Third Party Logistics measuring On Time Delivery Performance
Exploring Opportunities to meet or exceed Customer expectations for Logistics Services
Ensure appropriate and robust packing, crating, shipping procedures are in place to enable best in class on time delivery, meeting out of box failure metrics.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree preferred (i.e. BComm, BA, BSc and / or MBA)
8+ Years’ progressive experience (including management) in Supply Chain roles (Procurement, Logistics and Inventory).
Must have experience leading a supply chain group
Proven ability to define, build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers and partners required..
Contract negotiation experience is a must
Excellent knowledge of supply chain and quality systems
Assets
PMAC certification would be desirable.
Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma / LEAN manufacturing methodologies
