Join our team as a research associate, contributing to enrolment research projects for colleges and universities across Canada. As a research associate, you’ll work closely with our enrolment research manager on Academica’s enrolment research studies. On a day-to-day basis, you may be programming surveys, sending email survey invitations, analyzing survey data, preparing reports, producing data visualizations, and more. Key Responsibilities : Work closely with the Enrolment Research Manager to keep projects on schedule Program surveys and complete quality assurance measures Administer and monitor several concurrent surveys Analyze data to address client research objectives Update and revise existing enrolment research reports Assist in the production of annual reports and sector-wide webinars Draw insights from historical data Produce compelling data visualizations Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in market research Handle confidential respondent and client information in accordance with Canadian privacy laws and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications : Proficiency in Data Analysis Software : Expertise using statistical packages and tools such as SPSS, R, Q, Displayr, and / or Excel, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms. Research Methodology Knowledge : Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including data collection, interpretation, and reporting best practices. Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills : Demonstrated ability to structure workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving : Capability to assess complex situations, identify potential solutions, and apply logical reasoning to drive informed decisions. Excellent Communication Skills : Outstanding written and verbal communication for presenting research insights, collaborating with teams, and conveying complex data in an understandable manner. Detail-Oriented Approach : High level of accuracy and consistency in research deliverables, with a keen eye for quality and precision. Microsoft Office Proficiency : Skilled in Microsoft Office software—including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word—for the purposes of creating reports, developing presentations, and maintaining documentation. Team Collaboration & Independent Work : Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, showing initiative and self-motivation. Preferred Skills & Qualifications : Background in Data Analytics or Market Research : Hands-on experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform strategic decisions. Proficiency in Data Visualization Tools : Skilled in platforms such as DisplayR, Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio to create clear and impactful data visualizations. Survey Development & Programming Expertise : Experience designing and programming surveys using tools such as Voxco, Qualtrics, or SurveyMonkey. Familiarity with Email Marketing Software : Working knowledge of platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, SendGrid, or Envoke for campaign creation and management.
