The Role

As an Accounting Clerk, your responsibility will be to perform, analyzes and manage a variety of accounting tasks in areas such as : cash receipts, sales and accounts receivable, costing and inventory, freight and customs and other duties as required.

More specifically, you will :

  • Review and post cash receipts to the appropriate general ledger accounts and reconcile
  • Prepare weekly customer invoices
  • Review aged AR and follow-up with past due invoices
  • Maintain order files
  • Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies with customers
  • Perform detailed costing of sales orders
  • Provide sales and margin analysis of sales orders
  • Reconcile sub-ledger and general ledger
  • Summarize weekly labour cost sheets
  • Review and maintain unprocessed shipping notices report
  • Verify customs coding with AP system to ensure compliance standards are met

Job Requirements :

Your Skills & Experience

  • BA / BS degree in an accounting related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts.
  • Excellent speaking manner and very clear with comprehension.
  • Ability to thrive in a formal environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience.
