The Workun Garrick Partnership, Architecture and Interior Design Inc. is an Edmonton-based architectural practice established in 1953, offering expertise in architecture, programming, and interior design. We have established an excellent track record of successful projects for a wide spectrum of planning and design commissions across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. Located in downtown Edmonton, our open studio reflects a diverse group of staff. Led by 3 principals, the Firm consists of highly specialized team members including architects, technologists, interior designers, LEED specialists, graphic designers, marketers, and support staff.

As a member of the Workun Garrick team you will :

  • Work from conceptual design to the detailed preparation of final construction drawings.
  • Evaluate and assimilate design changes introduced by the project architect or interior designer.
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with the work of consulting engineers.
  • Draft, administer contracts, and detail.
  • Resolve technical issues on site.
  • Oversee client relationships and communications.
  • Assist with coordination through all phases of projects.
  • Requirements :

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology.
  • SketchUp is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • LEED AP accreditation and experience on LEED Certified projects is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years experience is preferred.
  • Assist in mentoring junior architectural technologists.
  • Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision, coordinate consultants and work directly with clients.
  • Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects, priorities, and workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to projects from start to finish.
  • Creativity and a passion for having fun!
