The Role

We are seeking a Hardware Project Engineer to join our Client Services / Project Management Office team. This opportunity is responsible for working with customers and internal stakeholders to design site-specific aspects of the Attabotics system, including mechanical and electrical infrastructures (system sizing, electrical requirements, and permitting requirements).

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electro-mechanical, or similar field)
  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience working in a hardware project engineering practice
  • Experience working with robotic systems, and / or complex electro-mechanical systems
  • P.Eng required (EITs on path to P.Eng will be considered)
  • Knowledge of electrical cabinet design and PLCs is preferred
  • Mechanical design knowledge of structures
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

What We Need

  • Work with customers and internal stakeholders to scope solution requirements and develop System Design Specifications prior to the installation
  • Complete system design and develop the site-specific project / manufacturing level Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Manage external contractors as related to system design, installation, and commissioning by Attabotics personnel
  • Develop a test plan and quality management plan to communicate to external contractors
  • Ensure that IT delivers BOM and design to meet Project Schedule and Cost
  • Work with customers and third parties to obtain necessary permits as required by local jurisdictions
  • Interface with engineering teams to ensure that system requirements are aligned with the current releases
  • Interface with construction and field teams during installation and commissioning to ensure that the appropriate support level is available
  • Interface with the test team to ensure that Commissioning and SAT reflect current hardware requirements
  • Specify and manage all risks associated with system installation, and provide risk mitigation strategies
  • Work with project managers closely to ensure above requirements, including scheduling, personnel, and component availability on site
  • Manage and execute special projects
  • Support Sales and Application Engineering in RFQ / RFP or other inquiries
  • Support Project Manager in completion of Change Orders
