Work shift (days / times) Core hours 9-4, workweek schedule of 37.5 hours candidate is free to start anytime between 8-9 and complete his 7.
5 hour workdays we do have flexibility on this however hybrid model with office presence on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

TOP MUST HAVES :
- Candidate must be fluent in French and English
- 5 years experience as an HR Generalist
- Familiarity of Canada Labor Laws / Regulations - Quebec Labor Laws specifically
- Experience using HRIS (Workday, etc)

As part of our expansion plan, we are in the process of reopening our production facility, which will mark a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Generalist with a specialization in recruitment to join our team and play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and retaining top talent to support our growth initiatives.
As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for leading our recruitment efforts, focusing primarily on identifying and acquiring talent for various roles within our organization, with a heavy emphasis on staffing needs for the reopening of our production facility for both salaried and unionized employee bases.
You will collaborate closely with managers to provide guidance and support in managing day to day HR Operational tasks. This role will be key in supporting our workforce needs and maintaining positive employee relations.
Responsibilities :
Develop comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with organizational objectives, taking into account the specific staffing needs for the reopening of our production facility, while also considering the unique requirements of both salaried and unionized positions.
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs, ensuring a continuous flow of high-quality candidates.
Track recruitment metrics for both salaried and unionized positions, analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related inquiries and issues.
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including but not limited to onboarding, orientation & offboarding, communications, general HR issues, etc.
Assist in the adherence of HR policies, procedures, and programs on site for the Canada PT client
Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Support local payroll & inquiries, and other HR transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Support employee development initiatives, including training and performance management.
Help address employee concerns and grievances in accordance with company policies and union agreements.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
Develop internship partnerships with different institutions
Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience (3-5 years) as a recruitment specialist or in a similar role, with a focus on high-volume recruitment, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong understanding of both salaried and unionized employee recruitment processes.
Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and experience negotiating with union representatives is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and union representatives.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in HRIS (Workday) and ATS software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite

HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

This is a 12 month contract position
Flexible working hours may be considered based on project requirements.
Hybrid model with the need for 2-3 days of presence on site
