Our client, a well-established construction management firm based in Tsawwassen, BC, has been delivering high-quality projects for over three decades. With an annual construction volume of $150 million and a diverse portfolio ranging from $1 million to $100 million in value, they manage multiple projects across various stages of development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring successful delivery in alignment with client goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and trade partners, fostering strong relationships through clear communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement project strategies, including risk mitigation, constructability reviews, and cost control measures.
- Coordinate and manage project budgets, schedules, and procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and oversight to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, construction standards, and safety regulations.
- Facilitate design and detailing input at all project stages to optimize constructability and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including tender documents, scope of work packages, and budget tracking reports.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage and resolve project conflicts and disputes, ensuring smooth coordination between site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Chair regular project meetings, track milestones, and provide timely progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Coordinate project closeout, including commissioning, handover, and warranty administration.
Ideal Candidate Requirements :
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial or institutional construction.Strong understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project delivery methodologies.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.Experience in risk assessment, budgeting, and scheduling using industry-standard software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.A relevant post-secondary degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required.Why this Firm?
