We are looking for a Buyer and Logistics Coordinator for one of our customers near Marieville in the manufacturing field.

Responsibilities :

  • Negotiate and maintain supplier prices according to contractual agreements.
  • Follow up on shipments and delivery slips within established deadlines.
  • Plan and optimize transportation and warehousing flows to reduce logistics costs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maximize the efficiency of transport operations.
  • Manage relationships with carriers by demanding quality service.
  • Verify invoicing and follow up with accounting department.
  • Resolve logistical problems by finding satisfactory solutions for all stakeholders.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with suppliers.
  • Ensure effective management of returns and delivery complaints.
  • Optimize inventory management : inventory tracking, raw material rotation, management of returns of non-conforming products and supplier diversification.

Skills required :

  • Degree relevant to the position
  • Experience in purchasing and logistics
  • Knowledge of customs (asset)
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) (asset) in order to communicate with our internal and North American partners and customers
  • Mastery of the Office suite and facility with internet searches;
  • Experience with ERP (asset);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Sense of initiative and proactivity;
  • Creativity and interest in continuous improvement.
