Senior Data Scientist / ML / NLP

Toronto, ON

Contract

• 5 years experience with Machine Learning / GenAI / LLM / NLP applications
• 5 years experience completing large scale NLP-related projects including ability to clean and preprocess textual data for analysis, usage and fine-tuning of large language models, preferable in financial contexts.
• 3+ years experience in mathematical and AI model development to support decision making (commercial software and open-sourced solutions) Both on-premises and cloud computing environment
• Experience Building and / or deployment in ML / AI Ops
• Experience with Data visualization tools. E.g. Power BI
• Goos with Version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI / CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Time Series Analysis : understanding of time series data, especially in the context of financial data, and the ability to integrate NLP outputs with time series models
• Good knowledge of designing experiments, including splitting data into training and testing sets, cross-validation, and evaluating model performance using metrics like precision, recall, etc.
• Working in an Agile environment.
• Previous experience in Capital Markets is an asset
