Role Description

Orca is looking for an absolute rockstar Finance Manager to help lead the company to the next level. This is a full-time on-site Finance Manager role located in London, ON at Orca HQ. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and developing financial strategies to support company goals.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for :

  • Developing and managing the company's financial plans, including budgets and forecasts.
  • Preparing reports on financial performance for owners.
  • Monitoring the organization’s cash flow to ensure it has enough liquidity to meet its obligations.
  • Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Analyzing costs and finding ways to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to provide financial insights for decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Providing advice on major financial decisions, including mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
  • Working with clients and internal teams on GL projects
  • Managing Orca's fund disbursements and bank accounts
  • Assist CEO and other executives with day-to-day operations as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting skills
  • Financial Strategy Development
  • Experience with Supply Chain Optimization or Logistics is a plus
  • Budgeting and Forecasting skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (Xero)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
