Role - Mainframe Assembler Developer
Location - Toronto
Hybrid position
Essential Skills :
1. At least 10 years of experience with z / OS Processing Environment.
2. At least 7 years of experience in IBM coding and development, including extensive development experience using 64-bit Assembler and 31-bit Assembler programming languages.
3. Coding experience in a multitasking, reentrant and / or sysplex environment.
4. Experienced creating functional designs / specifications from business requirements.
5. Experience with IBM Mainframe environment (TSO / ISPF, JCL etc.).
6. Excellent knowledge of z / OS structure and logic including knowledge of z / OS operating system internals.
7. Experience in developing working code utilizing low-level operating system functions to accomplish a desired task.
8. Understanding of zLinux and Unix System Services.
9. In depth experience in troubleshooting complex problems at application and systems levels.
10. Conduct code and design reviews.
11. Produce a range of high-quality design options, reflecting a wide breadth of technical knowledge and insight.
12. Evaluate new technologies / innovations and processes that could impact products / solutions including 3rd party releases.
13. Work directly with global clients on complex product issues / escalations.
14. Self-starter with ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Mentor / provide technical guidance to the development team.
15. Fluent English (written and verbal) Nice to have Experience in C / C++ development Experience with TCP / IP and related networking protocols.
