ABOUT COULSON AVIATION
Coulson Aviation is a global aerial firefighting company that operates in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile. We produce, maintain and operate a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols. We are a growing organization that has been in business for 63 years.
Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add a Manufacturing Inspector in Port Alberni, BC.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR :
The Manufacturing Inspector reports to the VP of Manufacturing. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming / outgoing parts, materials, and services for conformance to the supplied technical data and releasing product to aircraft.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensure all manufacturing inspection related activities are performed in accordance with the manufacturing manual and AS9100 SOPs.
- Ensure a proper level of general safety is maintained.
- Interpret and understand internal and external technical drawings and associated industry standards such as MIL and AMS.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented to ensure part accuracy and paperwork accuracy.
- Use hand measuring tools and computer proficiency for use of CMM.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and Safety program.
- Ensure timely completion and keep up with all company assigned training.
- Strong ethical work attitude and aptitude with regards to identifying conformance and / or nonconformance of manufactured parts.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Industry related experience 2 years or other relevant experience
- Computer technical aptitude
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to interpret technical data
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer M,S or E
