Job Description : Lead Methods Engineer
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Methods Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
As the Lead Methods Engineer, you will :
- Lead and Mentor : Manage a team of Methods Engineering Technologists specializing in structures, systems, and electrical. Set clear objectives aligned with company goals and drive individual and team performance.
- Ensure Quality and Compliance : Oversee adherence to engineering and quality system processes to deliver high-quality planning documentation that meets program schedules and customer expectations.
- Support Production : Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues, optimize production work packages, and ensure the efficient manufacturing of aircraft assemblies and installations.
- Process Optimization : Continuously refine processes, tools, and behaviors to align with business requirements, customer needs, and technical advancements.
- Evaluate Engineering Changes : Review engineering changes for manufacturability and integration within existing manufacturing processes.
- Monitor Team Progress : Maintain close contact with team members to track task progress, ensure adherence to budgeted hours, and provide support as needed.
- Develop Talent : Foster team growth through workforce planning, performance management, career development, succession planning, and recruitment initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have :
A combination of education and hands-on experience in aerospace and / or manufacturing.A degree or diploma in Business, Project Management, Engineering , or equivalent experience (e.g., Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Assembler, etc.).10+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering, ideally in aerospace or a large component manufacturing environment.Proven leadership experience (an asset).PMP certification (an asset).Strong knowledge of cost accounting and cost estimating .Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Strong presentation skills, capable of communicating complex information to executive-level stakeholders.A customer-focused mindset with excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.Innovative thinking and sound decision-making abilities.Required Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing or the industrial sector is highly preferred.Compensation & Benefits
