About the Role
Bosa Properties is looking for an Analyst, Tax to join our team of talented real estate professionals. Reporting to the Director, Tax , this individual will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the development of efficient tax processes and will be responsible for leading the Canadian income tax and indirect tax compliance processes.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, and information tax returns;
- Oversee the indirect tax compliance process including filing of GST and PST returns;
- Work internally with accountants to complete various analyses required to support tax filings;
- Assist with tax planning initiatives in coordination with external advisors;
- Assist with tax audits and litigation in coordination with external advisors;
- Prepare the quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASPE;
- Research various tax issues and changes in legislation;
- Mentor and assist with training of junior staff.
What you Bring
- A curious and innovative mindset with a passion for efficiency;
- Process oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Two (2) years of Canadian tax experience preparing tax provisions, corporate income tax returns and / or partnership tax returns;
- CPA designation or working towards CPA designation;
- Proficiency in the use of Taxprep software;
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills including experience working with Power Query or Power Pivot is an asset;
- Enrolment in or working towards completion of In-Depth Tax Program is an asset;
- Understanding of International Tax Principles and cross-border tax implications is an asset;
- Experience working in the real estate industry is not essential but will be considered an asset.
Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
Salary
$76,200 $104,700 CAD
