Key Responsibilities

  • Complete thorough, in-depth analysis of new credit requests, credit change requests, renewals, and annual reviews.
  • Perform customer credit rating reviews. Report to the Manager findings and submit required reports if needed.
  • Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any documentation deficiencies, and report to the Manager and credit administration team as needed for timely resolution.
  • Provide technical advice or other assistance to managers if needed.
  • Review loan files to ensure compliance and maintain the Bank’s lending policies and procedures.
  • Assist with front officers on loan-related issues.
  • Complete requested reports for the Senior Management and Credit Committee on a timely basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of credit work experience in Canadian banks, 6-10+ years of credit analysis experience in Chinese banks, and 2+ years of credit work experience in Canadian banks, preferably in sectors such as real estate, mining, energy, transportation, wholesale, or loan syndication.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, law, or relevant areas.
  • CFA or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Able to complete work professionally with minimum instruction.
  • Great analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with work proficiency. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Able to perform well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate in English and intermediate business proficiency in Chinese / Mandarin are required.
