Job description

Ignite Technical is growing and we are on the hunt for an Account Manager to join our team. This role will put you in the drivers’ seat of an existing portfolio of active clients with an expectation you build your tribe out from there.

Main duties of the role :

  • Account Management : build and grow relationships with the decision makers within your chosen companies and organizations
  • New Business Development : proactively seek out new business, building rapport and developing referrals for additional business
  • Sales-cycle management : ensure that your clients’ requirements are being fulfilled by the delivery team, including managing expectations, removing roadblocks and closing the sale

Required Experience : successful candidates should have at least 2 of the 4 criteria listed below.

  • 2+ years of Account Management Experience : do you have experience building and maintaining a portfolio of clients? Are you able to build rapport with the decision makers and earn their repeat business? Do you have a track record of beating out your competition to be your client’s go-to resource?
  • Demonstrated Experience in an enterprise B2B environment : are you comfortable having lunch with Directors and VPs? Are you able to identify business concerns and provide the solutions within the scope of your product or service?
  • 2+ years of Recruitment Agency experience : have you had a front-row seat to the process of staffing up a client's team to support their business goals and projects? Can you explain the value-proposition of the recruitment profession?
  • Demonstrated IT Industry experience : does the word DevOps mean anything to you? Don’t worry if it doesn’t, this is the least important requirement on this list.

    Compensation and Benefits : We pay a fixed salary that increases over time, in addition to a generous commission structure (with no top-end), and a bonus system for top-performers. We also provide a generous amount of paid-time-off , which increases with both tenure and performance. Your cell-phone and gym-membership will both be covered and our annual team-trip to somewhere sunny (and all-inclusive) is always a great time!

    Work Location Details : We are primarily Work-from-Home but occasional (1-2 times per month) onsite work may be required. Many of the team come into the office (a.k.a. the Clubhouse) more frequently to hang out with their teammates in-person, as well. That team dynamic is important to us, so we’re looking for local Candidates only who can meet up with the rest of the team in-person from time to time, so only Candidates who are currently in BC will be considered for this role.
