About this opportunity
Reporting into the Manager, Digital Services, the Security Analyst is responsible for the life-cycle of security policies, governance / risk, compliance and security.
The role is separated into operations, risk, and compliance. Security Analysts are expected to operate in a group or independent setting depending on the task.
To be successful in this role you are expected to have an interest in improving yourself and CBI in these security principles.

- Ensure security incidents are handled promptly and effectively by starting the process of security incident response and escalating as needed.
- Evaluate and monitor third party vendors for security compliance.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
- Monitor security events for global security incidents and carrying out appropriate investigation to discover root causes.
- Monitor security patch levels of the servers, workstations and network environments, and anti-virus systems.
- Monitor network and application performance to identify and irregular activity.
- Participate in designing and implementing efforts towards enhancing ticketing solution so as to simplify monitoring and alerting efforts, as well as streamline incident management tasks.
- Manage and own major GRC-focused projects from beginning to end with supervision.
- Inspect systems, networks, and sites for compliance with cybersecurity standards and policies.
- Contribute to risk management efforts within the organization to include meeting with various stakeholders to understand and document current risks, identify risk owners, assist with the creation of risk treatment plans, and document ongoing efforts to manage risk in alignment with organizational risk appetite all within a dynamic Risk Register and dashboard.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity policy, risk, and overall security best practices and represents the cyber security function in multiple forums
- Prepare and maintain risk register that identifies gaps during project, system and software lifecycles through security risk assessments or security reviews and track these for remediation
Here's what you'll need to be successful :
- Bachelor's degree, College degree (or equivalent experience) in technology, healthcare or business.
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong Technical or Governance and Compliance understanding
- Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills and political acuity
