It is within this context that Alectra is now searching for an Executive Vice President, Asset Strategy & Operations.
The EVP, Asset Strategy & Operations reports directly to the CEO and is accountable for the strategic management of system assets, system planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of a modernized high-performance electricity distribution system.
The role acts as a strategic business partner and collaborates with leadership across the organization to ensure effective short and long-term planning, operations, and performance of the electrical distribution system.
This role establishes short and long-term strategies, plans, and programs necessary to modernize and transform the distribution system to ensure grid resiliency, reliability, capacity, and flexibility required to maximize shareholder and customer benefits and to enable and support customers’ energy choices.
The EVP Asset Strategy & Operations will prioritize well-being by promoting a healthy and safe work environment, foster a collaborative and inclusive culture, ensure clarity and focus by aligning with corporate strategy, deliver on promises with accountability, and be customer-centric by considering customer experience in all decisions.
Additionally, the role involves leading over 1,000 employees across 9 locations, ensuring a high-performing, team-oriented work environment.
As the ideal candidate you have demonstrated progressive experience in a leadership role working alongside senior business leaders to drive optimal business outcomes.
You have experience in a larger organization and a strong understanding of collective agreements and an ability to drive efficient network planning and asset management in a unionized environment.
You have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills and your business acumen, agility, track record of driving innovation, and strong executive presence and communication skills will serve you well in taking on this exciting opportunity.
