Senior Java Software Engineer

Publicis Sapient- Financial Services Client is seeking Senior Associates Java Engineer L1 and L2 to lead a team of top-notch technologists.

You will work with global agile teams on a range of technologies to develop, test, and deliver products with quality for the leading FS Client.

• Drive the design, planning, and implementation of multifaceted applications, giving you breadth and depth of knowledge across the entire project lifecycle

• Manage the project scope and deliverables of a globally distributed team throughout the development lifecycle

Primary needs :

• ONLY considering Canadian Nationals, Permanent Residents, and Open Work Permit holders for this role NOT accepting students, and other work visa types
• Preference for Toronto and GTA-based candidates
• Willing to travel to our Sapient office or Client site in downtown Toronto 2-3 days / week HYBRID role

Skill set required : Strong Java and Spring boot expertise, 1+years of AZURE cloud

MUST-HAVE SKILLS :

• 4- 8 years of strong software development exp with expertise in Java 8 and above.
• Exp with Multi-threading, Collections, and concurrent API. Knowledge & how to apply the Java (9) features
• A breadth of concepts, tools, and technologies to address NFRs like security, performance, reliability, maintainability and advocate relevant trade-offs.
• Exp with developing high-performance & high scalability enterprise applications using one or more leading cloud platforms across SaaS and PaaS including Amazon AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Strong exp in writing high-quality code with full automated unit test coverage (Junit, Mockito, etc)
• Experience in Microservices , 12-factor methodology, and automated integration testing
• Exp in API management, Swagger
• Strong exp in defining and applying design standards, patterns, and quality matrix depending on the solutions
• Working exp with various CI / CD tools and / or traditional build systems (ant, maven, gradle, etc.)
• Working exp with data platforms (relational and / or NoSQL) and messaging technologies
• Strong OOPs, data structure, algorithm knowledge
• Experience with containers and virtualization (Docker, Vagrant)
• Experience with distributed, cloud design patterns and architectural styles
• Working experience with common UNIX commands and scripts
• Knowledge of load-balancers, CDNs, Edge caching, reverse proxies
• Ability & willingness to learn technologies at a pace
• Strong verbal & written communication
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

• Cloud Certifications at a professional or Architect level
• Exp in one or more front-end development technologies (React / Angular)
• Working exp creating high-performing applications including profiling and tuning (of those applications to boost performance)

• Willingness to travel

Additional information :

1. Job Level : Senior Associate Technology Level 1 (with 3-6 years of experience)

Annual Pay Range (in CAD) : $110,000 - $125,000

2. Job Level : Senior Associate Technology Level 2 (with 6-9 years of experience)

Annual Pay Range (in CAD) : $125,000 - $140,000
