SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies (CEPS) focuses on non-credit programs supporting corporate training, the individual learner and international projects. We create courses and programs for life-long learning with careers at our core. Our courses range from exploring general interests to up-skilling for career advancement and reskilling for career changes. We complete all background activities required to set up our products for students to purchase and experience several delivery options.We are looking for EMR Instructors to hire for our Talent Pool for future opportunities in 2025 - 2026 Academic Year. EMRG 001 : Emergency Response Fundamentals EMRG 003 : Advanced Emergency Response Theses course combines online-managed self-study of theoretical concepts with mandatory classroom lab days which include lecture and practical components.Courses run weekdays from 8am - 5pm daily at SAIT Main CampusSynchronous - Face to Face delivery Note : We are currently building our talent pool for potential contracts during the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Hours are not guaranteed; you will only be contacted if a teaching opportunity becomes available.

Role

  • Provide high quality education to students in the lab and clinical setting
  • Train students in emergency medical services, ambulance operations, patient assessment, basic life support, trauma and medical emergencies, pediatrics, childbirth, geriatrics, environmental, psychological and special situations.
  • Evaluate student progress and achievement
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
  • Facilitate and assist with quality assurance
  • Review content and implement recommendations
  • Promote and support SAIT’s goals and mission statements
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Practicing Advanced Care Paramedic with a minimum of 3-5 years’ of work experience.
  • Must be registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics (ACoP).
  • Previous teaching experience an asset.
  • Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others.
  • Comfortable with public speaking, and able to convey course subjects to diverse students and learning styles.
  • Possess a positive, respectful attitude, and a high commitment to student success and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with videoconferencing technology (MS Teams, WebX, Skype or Zoom)
