T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country : 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Finance & Real Estate, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for US expansion master model, new sites / renovation evaluation and fixed assets acquisition approval. The position also supports Eastern Region weekly / period reporting, annual budgeting, quarterly capital forecasts and month-end financial reviews.
Major Responsibilities :
Real Estate
- Own US expansion financial model supporting long term strategic growth.
- Preparing new site evaluation, renovation or business initiatives using CE 10 Year Model.
- Report, monitor and process capital assets acquisition request reference to annual capital budget.
Financial
Work close with Corporate Finance to support annual regional budgeting exercise.Prepare period-end financial review, conduct variance analyses and provide narrative, analysis and explanations to explain fluctuations.Compile periodic and ad hoc analysis and reports on a timely manner, ensure such reports are accurate, informative and easy for non-financial managers to understand.Communicate with departmental managers on accounting process, budgeting and financial policy.Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
University Degree in Business Administration or Accounting.Possession of CPA / CMA designation is an asset.3 - 5 years of financial or management accounting experience.Prior working experience in retail / real estate industry is an asset.Possess strong work ethics, sound analytical, research, problem solving skills.Must be hands on and detail oriented, inquisitive and exhibit professional curiosity.Possess good business sense, initiative and great interpersonal skills.Results oriented, flexible and able to succeed in a multi-tasking and dynamic environment.Possess at least Intermediate level in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; with advanced skills in Excel with familiarity in macros, pivot table to analyze high volume data.Must be fluent in English, able to communicate Chinese language is an asset.Benefit
