ResponsibilitiesRisk & Compliance Management – Engage with all departments to identify and mitigate operational and contractual risks, implementing proactive risk management strategies.Contract Management – Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives while minimizing legal exposure.Regulatory Compliance & Governance – Oversee compliance with evolving regulations (SOC, GDPR, data privacy), act as Privacy Officer, and ensure adequate insurance and vendor governance.Strategic Legal Support – Partner with internal teams and external counsel to align legal strategies with business goals and improve risk mitigation.QualificationsJ.D. qualified to practice lawLicence to practice Law in Alberta - Lawyer in good standing4 years+ of relevant experience at a in-house legal counsel role
