Solution Consultant—Ref. : BID-1447

Location : USA—Possibility to work from home #LI-Remote

mdf commerce Inc . is an international team of 650 experts who develop a broad set of SaaS solutions to power the critical work of public procurement.

We are currently looking for a Solution Consultant to join our E-procurement team.

What will your primary responsibilities look like?

In this role, you will :

  • Collaborate with Account Executives on qualified opportunities to uncover customer business objectives, pain points and project requirements.
  • Create winning sales strategies and presentations for prospects using best practices and industry expertise.
  • Present the value of the mdf solutions through sophisticated and collaborative demos.
  • Build high-quality functional responses to RFPs and support all functional / technical activities through the sales cycle.
  • Work effectively with other parts of the organization, including Product Management and R&D, to support ongoing product improvements via prospects’ and customers’ feedback.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of client business processes through presentations, demonstrations and RFx response development.
  • Act as a functional expert for sales directors and account executives.
  • Meet with field sales executives regularly to develop strategies to build pipelines, work specific opportunities and close business.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with all the above-supported executives and staff.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls with executive management as needed.

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and helpful in this role?

  • Knowledge or experience in Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain functions.
  • Knowledge or experience with SaaS and Cloud-Based applications.
  • Experience working with the U.S. / Canada Public Sector is an asset.
  • Able to articulate the value of and sell SaaS / Cloud-Based applications.
  • You stay current on the solution roadmap and competitive offers to improve your industry knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency in M.S. Office suite and other software tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Commitment to company values and understanding of our corporate purpose.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills need analysis, positioning, business justification and closing techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with prospective clients in complex environments.
  • Planning : an ability to think ahead and plan for the short and long term.
  • Management : the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • What are the assets that would make you stand out?

  • Public sector (state or local government) experience.
