Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee household cleaning, organization, and maintenance in a prestigious private residence. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in stunning locations, primarily in the Magog region, with travel required to The Hamptons (NY) and other residences as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure the residence is impeccably maintained, organized, and running smoothly. Accommodation is provided if required.

Responsibilities

  • General Housekeeping & Cleaning : Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Specialty Care : Maintain and care for fine china, crystal, artwork, and other valuable collections.
  • Household Organization : Keep the residence tidy, ensuring all items are properly stored.
  • Deep Cleaning : Conduct periodic cleaning such as washing windows, chandeliers, and other detailed tasks.
  • Outdoor Spaces : Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor furniture and patio areas.
  • Laundry & Wardrobe Management :

Wash, iron, and fold clothing, linens, and towels.

  • Handle delicate fabrics with proper care, including handwashing when necessary.
  • Organize wardrobes and storage spaces.
  • Pack and unpack luggage for travel.
  • Event Assistance : Support with private and social events, including :
  • Table setting and formal table service.

  • Post-event cleanup and organization.
  • Inventory & Storage Management : Maintain household inventories and ensure proper storage of items.
  • Floral & Plant Care : Arrange flowers and maintain indoor plants.
  • Travel Support : Accompany the principals to other residences, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • General Assistance : Respond to household requests as needed to support daily operations.
  • Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping and organization within a luxury residence or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Expertise in handling delicate surfaces, fine art, and luxury textiles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to accommodate last-minute changes and requests.
  • Speaking in French is required.
  • Physically fit, capable of handling the physical demands of the role.
  • Demonstrates utmost confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Valid driver’s licence required.
  • Additional Information

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday (flexibility required).
  • Working Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (subject to change based on household needs).
  • Accommodation : Provided during workdays if needed.
  • Travel : Required to secondary residences, including The Hamptons.
  • Benefits package provided.
