As a non-profit, we help people develop skills and knowledge, empowering our neighbours to create positive change in their lives.

Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens.

Working within the mission, vision, values, and person-centered philosophy of the Agency, the Office Coordinator plays a vital part in providing exceptional administrative and reception support, both in person and over the phone at the Richmond office.

The successful candidate will use their excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and friendly demeanor to create a positive experience for clients, staff, and visitors to the Richmond office.

This role is primarily responsible for administrative support to the Counselling & Trauma, Victim Services, and FSEAP Programs in Richmond, including a variety of administrative, clerical, and basic financial tasks, which vary throughout the year, depending on ongoing projects and program / Agency needs.

82 / hour Location : Richmond office : 250- 7000 Minoru Blvd. with the possibility of working Hybrid Posting End Date : Posting will remain open until filled What you bring Education, Training, Experience

  • Minimum of a Grade 12 diploma, plus two years of post-secondary education in business or administration
  • Three years of office coordination experience and administrative experience
  • Previous experience working in a non-profit is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills
  • Kind, calm, and welcoming manner and ability to relate well to children, youth and adults, clients and professionals, in person and on the phone, while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to multitask, showing initiative and flexibility
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe, and database software skills and ability to adapt to and learn various software and client database programs;

experience using SharePoint & JANEapp an asset

  • Fluent in English & Chinese
  • Passionate about the Counselling, Trauma & Victim Services Programs, and supporting marginalized populations
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
