Position Purpose
The Principal Advisory Director role focused on Enterprise Architecture is responsible for delivering Info-Tech’s Research projects and advisory services to clients, primarily in the domains of Enterprise Architecture but also in the sub domains of architecture such as Data, Applications, Solution, Data Integration, Application Programming Interfaces, and EA Infrastructure.
The successful candidate will provide research and experience-based insight and guidance, helping IT leaders drive measurable results in their organizations. The incumbent will maintain an active pulse on the needs of clients, who we refer to as Members, located globally. They will also need to stay current on industry developments to enable the delivery of exceptional service via calls and workshops in collaboration with others across our Research Division and organization.

What you will do, includes, but not limited to :
Advisory Calls with Clients
- Leading calls with Members to provide an overview and guide them on the use of Info-Tech’s published research.
- Listening to the information provided by Members and recommending ways they can use the research to work through a challenge or project, while ensuring their key initiative plans fulfill their strategic mandates.
- Assist to scope member concerns and direct them to relevant research as well as identify gaps in research products.
Facilitate Workshops
Properly scope out the workshop effort with clients over the phone to ensure they have the correct workshop research from the workshop catalogue to drive the engagement a few weeks ahead of an online or on-site workshop delivery.Assist in developing of the Workshop Execution Document (WED), Statements of Work (SOW) to formalize the objective, agenda, and deliverables of workshops.Using Info-Tech’s published research to facilitate a series of activities with Members and their teams during the scheduled timeframe based upon the type of workshop being delivered.Throughout the workshop, collecting activity outputs from participants and compiling them into a polished final deliverable for the Member at the end of the engagement.Identify further areas of advisory assistance required by clients after the workshop and conduct a soft transition to another analyst, as necessary.Assisting with Research
Participating in Agenda Planning and Research projects as a Subject Matter Expert, finding any relevant supporting literature on the topic, and using the information gathered to provide insights to the project lead.Help cultivate insights into a framework or methodology and advising the building of supporting tools and resources for publishing on our website and use by Info-Tech Members.Keep a pulse on what’s happening in the industry around your areas of expertise including upcoming trends and best practices, in part, to assist in your contribution of ideas into the research agenda.Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Support
Contributing to research producing teams by identifying technology trends, proposing research topics, and providing input on research projects assigned to others.Provide subject matter expertise and feedback to other departments across the Research Division and to partnering with Divisions outside of Research, like Sales, Public Relations & Marketing, etc., teams as needed.Design and build of high-quality keynote / other presentations, and successful delivery of presentations as needed.To be successful, you will need :
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree required (business or technology preferred). An Engineering, MA, MBA, or MSc beneficial.Practical experience (10+ years) in an Enterprise Architecture, or similar domain (Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Integration, Security) at leadership levelExpert knowledge in Enterprise Architecture Principles, Strategy and Operating Models.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in some combination of key domains necessary :Enterprise ArchitectureInfrastructure & Networking,Enterprise Software Platforms (ERP, CRM etc).IoT & Edge computingCloud Native & On-premises applicationsData IntegrationSecurity frameworksData ModelingData Governance and ManagementKnowledge Graphs and Semantic IndexingBig Data and Analytics understandingAI & Machine LearningFirsthand integration experience and a good understanding of current landscape and trends in the industry.Professional certifications in Enterprise Architecture are considered valuable (SAFe, Disciplined Agile, Six Sigma, TOGAF, Archimate, Zachman Framework, FEAF (federated enterprise architecture framework), ITIL, COBIT etc.)Presentation and facilitation experience demonstrated through prior client-facing workshops, training sessions, and consulting engagements.History of strong relationship building and management skills. Experience gaining and maintaining trusted advisor status with senior management and C-level executives.Travel Requirement : Must be flexible and have ability to travel periodically to deliver workshops onsite at client locations both within and outside of North America.
Visa Requirement : Must be eligible to obtain appropriate work visas for cross-border work within North America and globally.
Work Hours Requirements : Must be available for after-hours work periodically to service clients in non-core business hour time zones such as Europe, UAE, and APAC.
