Job Title : Buyer Manufacturing (Multi-Plant, USA & Canada)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to manage procurement activities for multiple manufacturing plants across the USA and Canada. This role is responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, and supplies to support production while ensuring cost efficiency, supplier quality, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, experience in multi-plant procurement, and a deep understanding of supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement : Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and services across multiple North American plants.
  • Supplier Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost savings, and supply chain reliability.
  • Cost Optimization : Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination : Work closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of materials while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Multi-Plant Purchasing Coordination : Develop standardized procurement processes across USA and Canada plants to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Risk Management : Monitor supply chain risks, assess market trends, and implement contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Compliance & Documentation : Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting : Track key procurement metrics (cost savings, supplier performance, lead times) and provide reports to leadership for decision-making.
