Wood is seeking a Senior Lead Electrical Engineer to join their Mining and Minerals Canada team in Vancouver, BC.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role has overall responsibility for providing Electrical Engineering support on our major projects.

Salary Range : $155,000 - $207,000

- 20+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
- Bachelor's degree (B. from a recognized University
- Professional Engineering (PEng) or ability to register as a Professional with EGBC
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an Asset.
- The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized North American university and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of North American electrical codes and standards.
- Must possess a diverse electrical engineering design background and proven experience in industrial and mining & metals projects.
- The ideal candidate would possess strong leadership qualities and lead the electrical engineering team for the years to come
- The successful candidate is expected to coach, educate and mentor less experience engineers.
- Proven track record of preparing detailed proposals and estimates for complex electrical engineering projects.
- Experience with ETAP or similar software design tools are considered an asset.
- The successful candidate is expected to have significant in-person Client interface from the conceptual phases of a project to detailed design.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D design / drafting techniques.
- Ability to provide technical leadership for the electrical components of multi-disciplinary industrial or power generation projects.
